CFA Music Festival

The Caldwell Fine Arts Music Festival is an annual event benefiting piano, violin, viola, and cello students and teachers. The festival has served the community since the early 1960s, when it was started by members of Caldwell Thursday Musicale. Caldwell Fine Arts has sponsored the festival since 2009.

This non-competitive event for beginners through high school gives students an opportunity to perform polished pieces for a qualified adjudicator. One unique feature of this festival is that the judge is allowed time to interact with each student in order to explain suggestions they may have for improving technique and musicianship.

Teachers throughout the Treasure Valley may enter their students for an entrance fee of $12 ($18 if after the deadline). Student fees are $7.00 for Elementary and $10.00 for Intermediate or Advanced entries. Students who earn their fourth or more Superior rating are featured at the Honor Recitals.

2019 Festival Dates:

  • April 18, 2020, 8:00am to 5:00pm CFA Music Festival
  • Sunday, May 3, 2:00-5:00 Honors Recital
  • CFA Music Festival 2019
